Okage: Ari and Marlene

And this is--yep, you guessed it! The second gift painting I did for when she was kind enough to order prints from and I!

This is, as the title suggests, Ari and Marlene from Okage / Boku to Maoh / Me and the Devil King! (A great game, and it goes for about $5 these days, which is criminal considering how good it is, but a fine buy nonetheless!)

This is the first time I've drawn Marlene (in a painting)! Can you believe it? Since these were supposed to be "quick" (haha, hit that laugh track switch!) I went with the other Marlene... not Princess Marlene, if you catch my drift.

I never really liked Marlene until she wasn't the princess. So, for a vast majority of the game. Well, I didn't actively dislike her, but I liked Rosalyn, Ari, Stan, Linda, Ari's family, Kisling, Big Bull, James... just about everybody else better. But the ending warmed my heart to her. And all's well that ends well, eh? (OKAY, THAT'S IT, XENOGEARS FANART
